Donald Miralle is a husband, father, surfer, paddler, photographer. Loves beer and football.
Born, raised and residing in SoCal, Miralle completed his BA in in Fine Arts at UCLA and has worked as a professional photographer for nearly two decades for clients like Newsweek, Golf Digest, ESPN the Magazine, Men’s Journal, Outside, Nike, Ironman, and NFL Players Association. Donald has received over 40 international awards for his work including four World Press Photo Awards. He has served on the contest jury for the Best of Photojournalism, Swedish Pictures of the Year, Danish Photographers Union and the Wisconsin and Utah Press Photographers Associations.
An avid swimmer through college at UCLA, Miralle loves to surf and paddleboard, and has competed in the 32-Mile Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race (3rd Place), The Molokai World Championships (2nd Place Age Group Team), and The Jay Moriarty Race (1st Overall). He lives in the San Diego beach community of Leucadia with his wife Lauren, his two sons Luke and Micah, and their dogs Odie and Frank.
